Water & Earth Services is seeking an experienced Retaining Wall Builder / Structural Landscaper to join our Brisbane team. This hands-on role focuses on concrete sleeper and sandstone block walls, with casual starting terms and a full-time position after a successful trial.

Applicants should have proven wall-building experience, be reliable, and take pride in delivering quality work while following plans, safety standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retaining wall construction or structural landscaping.
• Experience building concrete sleeper and sandstone block walls.
• More than 3 years’ excavator operating experience is essential.
• Ability to follow plans, take accurate measurements and work to specified levels.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach to clients.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Current Construction White Card and valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Construct concrete sleeper and sandstone block retaining walls.
• Read and follow plans, engineering drawings and site specifications.
• Set out walls, check levels and prepare sites for construction.
• Complete excavation, post installation, concreting and drainage work.
• Safely operate excavators and other machinery.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship on each project.
• Communicate professionally with clients and raise any concerns with the supervisor.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Keep work areas tidy and follow workplace health and safety requirements.

About the role

Water & Earth Services is looking for an experienced Retaining Wall Builder / Structural Landscaper to join our team.

We specialise in concrete sleeper and sandstone block retaining walls across Brisbane and surrounding areas. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and consistently delivers quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Construct concrete sleeper and sandstone block retaining walls.
• Read and follow plans, engineering drawings and site specifications.
• Set out walls, check levels and prepare sites for construction.
