Job summary

Ormiston-based Thrift Emporium Shops, part of UnitingCare, seeks a Retail Supervisor on a permanent full-time basis (Tuesday – Saturday). Remuneration is $31.11 p/hr plus Super, NFP Salary Packaging and a commission program for high performers.

You will lead a store serving the local community, coaching staff and volunteers, managing pricing, visual merchandising and promotions to protect profitability while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or hospitality management with a retail background.
• Coaching and mentoring experience.
• High level of customer service delivery.
• Familiarity with pricing, visual merchandising and promotions.
• Experience working with staff and volunteers to improve store performance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for Thrift Emporium and its purpose; promote its service to the community.
• Manage all aspects of a retail operation and delegate responsibilities to achieve sales targets.
• Oversee pricing, visual merchandising and promotions to maintain profitability.
• Maintain effective communication with team, regional support and external stakeholders; assist with customer enquiries/complaints.
• Identify issues and opportunities from selling trends and customer feedback.
• Set objectives and prioritise tasks aligned to business strategy.
• Coach and develop direct reports to link development goals to business outcomes.
