Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking an Assistant Retail Supervisor for the brand-new Thrift Emporium in Ormiston. The role focuses on leading a team, delivering excellent customer service and driving store profitability.

Remuneration is $28.89 per hour plus Super, NFP salary packaging, and a commission program for high performers. This is a permanent full-time position with a Sunday–Thursday roster and opportunities to grow within a supportive not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management (or hospitality management) and coaching/mentoring people.
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Willingness to learn store operations, visual merchandising and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Retail Supervisor in all aspects of a retail operation and delegate responsibilities where appropriate to meet sales targets.
• Review pricing, visual merchandising, promotions and selling techniques to maintain profitability.
• Maintain effective communication within team, regional support and external stakeholders; assist with customer inquiries and complaints.
• Coach and develop direct reports to align with business objectives and improve performance.
