Job summary

Lowes Petroleum in Canberra is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead a busy service station with a pre-packaged food and coffee offer. You will drive sales, maintain in-store standards, and merchandise to maximise impulse purchases and customer flow.

You will be hands-on, commercially minded, and accountable for running a tight operation across 6-day trading with a strong emphasis on team leadership and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in convenience retail, fuel retail, grocery, or QSR-style environments.
• Strong merchandising, range execution, and retail sales drivers.
• Hands-on leadership with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the store with a strong customer-first focus
• Drive convenience sales growth through merchandising, range execution, and promotional activity
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and compliance
• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver friendly, efficient service
• Manage pre-packaged hot food and convenient coffee operations with a focus on speed, quality, and consistency
• Monitor costs, stock control, waste, and labour to maximise profitability
• Ensure safe operations across forecourt and shop environments
• Build a positive team culture that supports performance and retention
