Job summary

Platypus Shoes Salamander Bay is seeking an Assistant Manager to work with the Store Manager, driving sales, coaching the team and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead a passionate casual team, oversee rosters, stock and VM, and help create an energetic store culture while developing your leadership skills, delivering strong KPI results, and upholding OH&S policies and Accent Group standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as senior casual, key holder or supervisor in high-volume retail.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver sales/KPIs.
• Hands-on leader with a Make it Happen mindset.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Stock management and visual merchandising know-how.
• Passion for delivering premium customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving store performance to meet sales targets and standards.
• Motivate the team to deliver top sales results and customer experience.
• Monitor store sales and analyze performance weekly and monthly.
• Manage rosters and wage spend aligned with targets and efficiency.
• Coach and mentor team, fostering training and succession planning.
• Oversee stock, store presentation, shrinkage control, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S policies and local legislation.
