Pacific Green Grocery Pty. Ltd. in St Marys, NSW seeks a Full-Time Retail Store Assistant to join a busy, family‑owned team. You will engage with customers, operate POS systems, stock shelves and ensure a high standard of product presentation across the store.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time Retail Store Assistant to join our team at Pacific Green Grocery in St Marys.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and being part of a supportive team.

You will play an important role in ensuring our store runs smoothly, shelves are well stocked, products are presented to a high standard and customers receive a positive shopping experience.

Position details:

• Employment type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
• Location: St Marys, NSW
• Roster: Rotating fortnightly roster
• Weekend availability is essential
• Public holiday availability may be required

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service
• Operate POS systems and process cash, EFTPOS and other customer transactions accurately
• Replenish shelves, fridges and freezers to maintain stock availability
• Ensure products are displayed neatly, correctly priced and presented to a high standard
• Assist with receiving, unpacking and organising stock deliveries
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and monitor product expiry dates
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including shelves, checkout areas and storage spaces
• Assist customers with product enquiries and locating items
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to management
• Follow store procedures, food safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently
• Assist with general store duties and other operational tasks as required

About you

• Previous experience in grocery or supermarket environments is essential
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual and committed to your responsibilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with physical duties, including standing for extended periods, replenishing shelves and safely handling stock
• Basic computer skills and confidence using POS systems
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
