Australia Post is seeking a Retail Customer Service Officer to help customers in our offices. The role involves sales, cash handling, identity services such as passport interviews, and promoting products and services with a focus on customer experience.

You will join a diverse, supportive team with structured training, opportunities for development, and a 12‑month contract. The pay rate starts at 29.72 AUD per hour, increasing to 31.77 AUD after about three months, with 12% superannuation and 25

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Able to lift up to 16 kg of mail and parcels regularly and stand for shifts.

• Conducting identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.

• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
• Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

About the opportunity

As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you’ll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It’s our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they’re supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.

• Pay rate $29.72 / hour increases to $31.77 / hour after approx. 3 months + 12% Superannuation.
• 12 weeks on the job paid training, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, various shifts.
• 12 month Contract.

You’ll be

• Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.

You’ll also need to

• Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift.
