About the opportunity

If you are either looking for your first job in retail or have a proven track record in a fast paced retail/ supermarket environment, you’re available to commit to a minimum of working 25 hours each week and you’re looking for your next move, we have an opportunity for you!

• + District allowance from $7140 annually (paid fortnightly)
• + Up to 50% Air Conditioning subsidy
• Pay Rate Competitive hourly rate of $34.53 per hour + 12% Superannuation
• HolidaysEnjoy5 weeks annual leave (including an additional 7 days of paid leave each year)
• Paid Training 12 weeks, Monday - Friday, 5 hours a day on a rotating roster. Shifts will be either 9 am - 2 pm or 12 pm - 5 pm
• Extra hours Regular opportunities for additional hours are available when team members are on leave
• Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers
• Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)
• Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
• Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
• Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance

About you

You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment. You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community. You'll also need to:

• Have a great attitude and are willing to learn
• Ideally, have experience in retail, supermarkets, banking or customer service who is looking to take the next step in their career
• Be competent or have the ability to learn to work with POS’s and cash handling
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail / parcels regularly and stand for your shift
