Job summary

Aesop is seeking a Retail Consultant in Sydney to welcome customers, listen to their needs and guide them to products that suit them, delivering an inclusive, exceptional shopping experience.

This is a Part Time, on-site role with a fixed roster: Tue 12:00–16:00, Fri 11:00–18:15, Sat 09:45–18:15, totalling about 18.15 hours per week. You’ll bring customer service experience, strong communication and curiosity about skin care.

• History of successfully participating in and contributing to a team.
• Empathy to manage interpersonal relationships and foster inclusivity.

Role purpose

As a Retail Consultant, you embody our desire to engage, listen and guide customers to products that are relevant to them. You will welcome customers into our spaces and through intentional interactions deepen the way our products are experienced. In demonstrating products that address customer needs you will deliver an exceptional, inclusive customer experience that contributes to our overall commercial success.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience operating within a customer service role or environment

• Demonstrated ability to utilise empathy to manage interpersonal relationships and contribute to a positive and inclusive experience for all
• Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of skin care and skin care industry (advantageous)
• Knowledge of hair care, body care, fragrance and home categories (advantageous)
• Mandarin language fluency (advantageous)

This is a Part Time role and it operates on an on-site working pattern.

Roster

• Tuesday 12.00pm - 4.00pm
• Friday 11.00am - 6.15pm
• Saturday 9.45am - 6.15pm
• 18.15 hours per week
