Job summary

Charles Parsons & Co. is seeking casual Retail Assistants across Sydney to deliver exceptional in-store experiences for students and families.

You will engage with customers, handle sales transactions, and support restocking and merchandising while learning our POS system. Flexibility to work during school holidays and peak times, with rosters across stores such as Leichhardt, Randwick, Revesby, Caringbah, Narellan, Penrith, Campbelltown, Hurstville, Chatswood and Dee Why.

Qualifications

• Active, well presented, friendly and motivated individuals who enjoy customer interaction.
• Experience in retail clothing or children's retail environment is preferred but not essential.
• Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
• Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (WCC) if required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sales transactions at POS and greet/listen to customer needs.
• Assist store manager and team with restocking, merchandising, tidying, packing and cleaning.
• Answer phone calls and support instore operations.
• Be trained on POS system (Instore training provided).
• Maintain instore security and transaction accuracy.

About the role

Vacancies exist for Casual Retail Assistants across our stores. We have stores located atLeichhardt, Randwick,Revesby, Caringbah, Narellan, Penrith, Campbelltown, Hurstville, Chatswood and Dee Why (please include your top 3 store locations in your application).

We are looking for active, well presented, friendly, and motivated people who enjoy customer interaction and are motivated to learn about our various products so they can provide the best in-store experience for every customer from any number of our schools.

Friendly and approachable, with a can-do attitude to customers and team members

Ability to undertake retail functions: sales transactions at POS, greeting and listening to customer needs, assisting the store manager and other team members in restocking & merchandising, tidying, packing, cleaning and answering phone calls

Ability to be training on our POS system (Instore training is provided)

Trustworthy and accountable for instore security and transaction accuracy

Flexibility and availability to work during school holidays, and peak times e.g. back-to-school

Experience in retail clothing or children's retail environment (preferred but not essential)

As a casual Retail Assistant, you may be required to be flexible with rostered days between our stores
