We are seeking a Retail Assistant to join the team at Parkland Mity Mart in Lavington NSW 2641. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring our store operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and help drive the success of our retail operations.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and efficient customer service at point of sale and throughout the store

Processing customer transactions accurately using the till system

Restocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure they are organised, clean and visually appealing

Assisting customers in locating products and answering enquiries about merchandise

Handling stock deliveries and checking items against delivery documentation

Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including aisles and stockroom areas

Supporting the store team with promotional activities and seasonal displays

Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues

A friendly, helpful and professional demeanour

Ability to work accurately and efficiently, particularly when handling transactions

Reliability and a flexible approach to working casual hours, including potential weekend and evening availability

Basic numeracy skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems

Physical ability to lift and carry stock items and stand for extended periods

Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-focused environment
