Storm Restoration Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Restoration & Estimating Lead Supervisor to join our Hackham, SA team. This full-time role leads restoration projects, conducts initial assessments, makes-safes, drying and restoration activities while driving safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

You will prepare scopes of work and insurance estimates, oversee technicians and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property restoration estimating or insurance repair scoping.
• Strong knowledge of restoration processes including water, fire and storm damage.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating technicians/subcontractors.
• Ability to manage budgets, variations and project profitability.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to pass checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency make-safe works and initial response.
• Coordinate drying, moisture monitoring and restoration activities.
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors and allocate daily workloads.
• Complete QC inspections and ensure safety compliance.

About the role

Storm Restoration Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Restoration & Estimating Lead Supervisor to join our team in Hackham, SA 5163. This is a full‑time position that offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and oversee restoration projects whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. As the operational lead for our restoration projects, you will oversee initial property damage assessments, emergency make‑safes, containment, structural drying and restoration activities.

You will prepare detailed reports, scopes of work and insurance estimates while directing technicians and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to a high professional standard.

This role is suited to an experienced restoration professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with effective leadership, sound commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder communication.

Candidate Requirements

Proven leadership capability with strong people‑management skills.

Ability to organise, direct and support field crews effectively.

Solid understanding of building construction, restoration principles and industry standards.

Working knowledge of insurance claims, estimating and project‑delivery processes.

High attention to detail with a commercially focused approach to costing and budgeting.

Skilled in identifying variations, managing scope and maintaining project profitability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurers, assessors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or assist with emergency make‑safe works and initial response activities.

Coordinate structural drying, water extraction and moisture‑monitoring requirements.

Organise, supervise and support restoration technicians and subcontractors.

Allocate daily workloads, manage site activities and track project progress.

Conduct quality‑control inspections to ensure all work meets required standards.

Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety compliance.

Maintain accurate job documentation, photographs, moisture readings and completion reports.

Operational & Team Development

Work with management to enhance operational systems and workflow efficiency.

Protect project margins through accurate estimating, cost control and effective resource planning.

Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and customer outcomes.

Assist with recruitment, training and development of high‑performing restoration teams.

Contribute to the company’s ongoing growth and expansion across South Australia.

Mandatory Criteria and Qualifications

• Proven experience in property restoration estimating, insurance repair scoping or building estimating.
• Current IICRC certification, such as WRT, ASD, AMRT or FSRT, or extensive and verifiable experience in structural drying and disaster recovery.
• Strong knowledge of water, fire, mould and storm‑damage restoration processes.
• Experience using job‑management, reporting or project‑tracking systems.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete a Police Check.
• Strong, verifiable professional references.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and lead teams in high‑pressure situations.
