Job summary

The Westin Brisbane, part of Marriott International, is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for Batica, our vibrant dining destination. You will lead the floor team, ensure seamless service, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have previous supervisory experience in hospitality, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for guest satisfaction. A Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is required, and a rotating 7-day schedule is

• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide a service team.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and brand standards.
• Awareness of food and beverage service expectations and SOPs.
• Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Batica, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Lead and support the restaurant team throughout service periods.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to maintain service excellence.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily goals, updates, menu knowledge, and service expectations.
• Deliver warm, friendly, and professional service to guests, creating a welcoming dining experience.
• Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Monitor the quality of food, beverages, and service to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards.
• Support team members during busy periods and actively contribute to service operations.
• Ensure all associates uphold Marriott and Westin service standards and values.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management to maintain operational requirements.
• Conduct regular checks on cash handling procedures, billing accuracy, and POS system compliance.
• Support training and development initiatives to build a high-performing restaurant team.

Role Overview

As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of Batica. Acting as a leader on the floor, you will ensure seamless service delivery, uphold brand standards, and foster a positive and motivated team environment.

You will lead by example to create exceptional dining experiences, support the development of your team, and ensure every guest receives warm, intuitive, and memorable service. Key Responsibilities:

• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or fast-paced food and beverage environment.

• Confidence to make decisions and lead effectively in a busy service environment.
• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and approachable personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards and restaurant operations.
• Must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (Queensland).
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
