The Delia Group is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager for our flagship venue, Maha.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, Maha boasts one of the city’s most spectacular dining rooms. This is an opportunity to work alongside our Director, Shane Delia, and his team - an opportunity that does not become available very often.

Maha has been welcoming diners through its doors for 17 years and has become established as one of Melbourne’s must visit venues, offering contemporary spice-driven cuisine inspired by the Middle East. The role will work closely with Shane Delia's operational team, will lead the front of house and collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve our goal of creating memorable experiences by exceeding expectations.

The role's priority will be on the development of a positive, engaging, and professional culture where knowledge, technique, and process are the driving pilars of your success, along with the delivery of energetic hospitality paired with exceptional service.

You will need a strong attention to the many 1% details and a solid understanding of how to optimise your labour, cost of goods, and consumables to achieve consistency, excellence, and a healthy business!

What we are looking for
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a Hatted venue
  • A strong focus on training and culture
  • A proven ability to mentor and share knowledge.
  • Have a proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Have a positive attitude, enthusiasm and be self-motivated
  • A strong leader who will provide support to our Operations Managers
  • Great knowledge of food, produce, wine and beverages, ideally with WSET or CMS.
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Available to work nights and weekends
  • Be proficient in running a hands-on business including effective rostering, inventory control, cost control and the ability to strive for the exceptional.
  • Possess an RSA and be proficient in adhering to RSA legislation
  • Possess full Australian working rights
