Shell House in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced Restaurant Host for casual evening and weekend shifts, to be the first point of contact and set the tone for guests' experience. You will manage reservations, seating and guest enquiries, ensuring smooth operation across the dining and bar areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a host, reservations or front-of-house role within a quality restaurant, bar or hospitality venue.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, confident and professional approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Natural ability to connect with guests and make them feel welcome.
• Understanding of premium service standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

About Shell House

We are one of Sydney’s most iconic hospitality destinations, located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Set within a beautifully restored heritage building, Shell House brings together exceptional dining, vibrant bars and unforgettable guest experiences across multiple venues.

We are looking for an experienced and friendly Restaurant Host to join our front-of-house team and be part of our “First Impressions” team!

About the Role

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire experience from the moment they arrive.

Working closely with the management and service teams, you will be responsible for creating a warm, professional and seamless guest journey while helping the restaurant and bar operations run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems will be highly regarded.
