Job summary

Blackall Range Care Group is seeking caring casual staff to join the Overnight Respite Cottage in Flaxton, Queensland. The role supports up to two clients per night, with flexible shifts to fit around your life.

Experience as a Support Worker or in aged care/disability services and medication assistance is preferred. Reliable transport and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Must have qualifications and previous experience as a Support Worker, Community Support Worker, AIN, Disability Support Worker, or similar role.
• Experience with medication assistance.
• Reliable transport and willingness to take clients out.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight respite care for up to two clients per night.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration as required.
• Support a safe, compassionate environment and transport clients when needed.

What We are Looking For

Must-haves:

• Qualifications and previous experience as a Support Worker, Community Support Worker, AIN, Disability Support Worker, or similar role;
• Experience with medication assistance.;
• Reliable transport and willingness to take clients out.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in an overnight respite role;
• Availability to work a mix of day and night shifts and some weekend work;
• Experience with using a tablet (iPad) with various platforms.
