Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Respiratory Medicine for Tamworth Hospital to deliver high-quality respiratory and general medical care. IMGs may apply via Specialist Pathway with comparability assessment.

The role offers opportunity to refer outpatients privately, participate in after-hours rosters (1:8), contribute to teaching, and engage in bronchoscopy and EBUS procedures within a MDT framework.

Formación

• A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RACP (Respiratory Medicine).
• Evidence of medical expertise with recent, comprehensive General Medicine and Respiratory Medicine experience.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and scholarship.
• Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, students, and colleagues.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and stakeholders in various settings.
• Leadership and management experience within clinical teams.
• Professional conduct with emphasis on governance and quality improvement.
• Advocacy for patient care and public health within the health system.

Responsabilidades

• Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as required by HNELHD.
• Rostered work hours and on-call duties including handover, teaching and emergency care.
• Contribute to education and research activities within the hospital and MDT settings.
