Overview

The Resourcer / Candidate Engagement Specialist plays a proactive role in the recruitment team by engaging directly with applicants and prospective candidates. This role focuses on phone-based contact, chasing, following up, and pre-screening applicants to ensure a strong pipeline of talent for current and future vacancies. The position begins as a temporary assignment with a pathway to permanent employment, offering a great opportunity to establish yourself within Shadbolt Group and grow your career in recruitment and HR.

Responsibilities
  • Make outbound phone calls to applicants and potential candidates to follow up on applications, interest, and availability.
  • Conduct pre-screening calls to assess qualifications, suitability, and motivation.
  • Maintain regular contact with applicants throughout the recruitment process to ensure engagement.
  • Build and manage candidate pipelines for trade, technical, and professional roles.
  • Chase up required documentation (tickets, licences, references, medicals, etc.) prior to HR handover.
  • Provide candidate shortlists and detailed notes to recruiters for interviews and selection.
  • Update and maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support job ad posting, response management, and initial applicant filtering.
  • Assist in coordinating interview scheduling where required.
  • Promote Shadbolt Group’s brand positively in all candidate interactions.
