Job summary

North Queensland Support Services in Cairns, QLD, is seeking dedicated staff to provide residential care for young people. The role focuses on building trust, supporting personal goals, and creating a safe, nurturing environment in which youths can grow and learn essential life skills.

Responsibilities include promoting wellbeing, assisting with care plans, coordinating meals, and facilitating activities that foster resilience and cultural connection within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Current Blue Card.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to enrol in or work towards a relevant qualification.
• Existing ACN or the ability to obtain one.
• Reliable, professional and compassionate approach to working with young people.
