Job summary

Rohy's Painting Pty Limited in Umina Beach, NSW, is hiring a Painter on a full-time basis (38 hours per week) to perform residential painting from prep to finish in clients' homes. You will work directly with homeowners, ensuring high-quality workmanship and professional presentation on every job.

The successful candidate will have Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent, or 3+ years of painting experience, with strong surface prep, finishes and WHS awareness.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years of painting experience.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint systems, primers and finishing techniques.
• Proficiency with brushes, rollers and spray equipment; ladders and scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surfaces and discuss requirements with clients.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding and stripping old paint.
• Fill cracks, holes and joints and smooth finishes.
• Protect floors and furnishings during painting.
• Select, mix and tint paints to achieve desired finish.
• Apply primers, sealers and undercoats for various substrates.
• Apply paints, enamels, stains and varnishes with brushes, rollers or spray.
• Apply decorative coatings to interiors and exteriors.
• Use ladders, trestles and scaffolding safely.
• Follow WHS practices and handle materials safely.
• Inspect finished work and perform touch-ups before handover.
• Maintain and clean brushes, rollers, spray equipment.
