Job summary
Newmont Cadia near Orange, NSW is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy and maintain LAN, WAN, WiFi, microwave and private cellular networks across the operation. You’ll support field-based work and technical design, ensuring reliable, secure connectivity that underpins safe and productive mining operations.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing and operating enterprise networks.
- Strong skills in configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, WiFi, microwave and private cellular networks.
- Knowledge of TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VLANs, routing and security.
- Experience with network performance monitoring and audits.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement across teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure to support operations.
- Monitor performance and implement reliability, security and efficiency improvements.
- Support upgrades and projects with alignment to priorities.
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain documentation of changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and Cyber Security to deliver solutions.
