Job summary

Thomas Paul Constructions Pty. on the NSW Central Coast invites a skilled residential draftsperson or building designer to join our team.

You will create construction plans for site, floor, elevations and sections, and support the design process across residential projects, reporting to the Senior Building Designer. Candidates should have ArchiCAD experience, the ability to interpret planning documents and maps for compliance, and strong attention to detail, time management and communication

Qualifications

Experience as residential draftsperson or building designer.
Proficiency in ArchiCAD and ability to prepare drawings and documents.
Understanding of BASIX, BCA/NCC, and planning requirements.
Ability to interpret planning documents and maps for compliance.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create accurate construction plans including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical and steel layouts.
Problem solve by addressing visual, construction or design restraints.
Respond to critical needs identified by the workflow team.
Liaise with the Senior Building Designer to resolve technical issues.
Check every job before issue to ensure design standards and covenants are met.
Update workflow records to reflect job progress.
