Job summary

Ability WA is hiring Disability Support Workers for Residential Services across the Perth metropolitan area. Roles are permanent part-time with fixed roster lines, aligned to availability and location needs.

You'll support customers to live as independently as possible, perform daily living tasks, personal care, and accompany them to appointments, using wheelchair-accessible vehicles when needed. Salary packaging benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a caring role within disability, aged care, or community services.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Australian work rights (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to obtain NDIA Worker Screening Check, National Police Clearance, and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
• Desirable: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in a shared accommodation setting.
• Assist with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping, household duties).
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hoisting.
• Support attendance at appointments and community activities.
• Drive wheelchair-accessible vehicles for customer transport.
• Complete progress notes, medication records, incident reports, and other documentation.
