Qualifications

• Degree or Graduate Diploma in Building, Planning, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Experience assessing and managing residential development applications in line with legislative requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine a broad range of residential development applications under delegation.
• Provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders on development assessment matters.
• Prepare high-quality assessment reports and recommendations.
• Manage competing priorities to achieve assessment timeframes and team objectives.
• Facilitate positive outcomes between applicants, the community and Council.
• Monitor and apply planning legislation, policies and development controls.
