Job summary

Slade Plumbing Pty Ltd is expanding its construction team in Newcastle, NSW, seeking experienced Residential Construction Plumbers and Civil Pipe Layers for long-term projects.

Roles include new home plumbing, drainage, sewer and stormwater, plus water and gas service mains; reading plans and coordinating with builders.

We offer full-time roles with OT, travel allowance and a brand-new company vehicle for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Plumbing and a current driver’s licence are required.
• Residential construction, drainage or civil experience preferred.
• Ability to read plans and think ahead to solve site issues.
• Work independently and take pride in quality workmanship.

Slade Plumbing Pty Ltd is growing its construction team and we are looking for the right people — not just people to fill positions.

Established in Newcastle since 1985, we are moving into the next generation of the business with a strong focus on residential construction, subdivisions and civil plumbing works.

We currently have long-term projects underway, including Metford Gardens, involving approximately 80 new homes together with associated civil and infrastructure works.

We are looking to employ:

• 2 experienced Residential Construction Plumbers
• 2 experienced Civil Pipe Layers / Drainage Workers / Ploy Pipe Installers
• a 3rd or 4th Year Plumbing Apprentice
• An experienced Plumbing/Civil Labourer may also be considered

Above all, we are looking for reliable people who can think for themselves, solve problems, take responsibility for their work and get on with the job.

The Work

Depending on your experience, your work may include:

• New home plumbing and drainage
• Residential construction and renovations
• Sewer and stormwater drainage
• Water rough-ins and fit-offs
• Gas installations
• Civil sewer and stormwater mains
• Poly water, gas and fire service mains
• Subdivision infrastructure
• Reading plans and setting out
• Working with builders, supervisors and other trades
• Maintaining accurate job notes and site records

  Our work is primarily across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Lower Hunter Region.

  For qualified plumbers, a Certificate III in Plumbing and current driver's licence are required.

  Relevant experience will be considered for pipe layers, labourers and apprentices.
