Job summary

The Oaks Carpentry Pty Ltd in Ipswich, QLD is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our full-time team. You will construct, install, and finish various carpentry projects for residential clients, delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, reading plans, framing, decks, and coordinating with trades. A carpentry qualification or apprenticeship is required, with a driver’s license and commitment to quality work.

Qualifications

• recognised carpentry qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry or cabinet making
• Proven experience in residential and/or commercial settings as a carpenter
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of timber types, joinery techniques and finishing methods

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day team tasks and ensuring timely completion with a quality finish
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Reading blueprints, plans and technical drawings
• Framing, cladding, fix outs, decks and custom carpentry
• Ensuring work meets Australian building codes and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised work site and disposing of waste properly
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and following supervisors' instructions
• Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets project specifications
