Job summary

Prestige Staffing Personnel is seeking an Apprentice Carpenter to join a leading residential builder in Mildura, VIC. You'll gain hands-on experience across house construction from slab to handover and work with qualified tradespeople while earning a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry.

No prior carpentry experience is required; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are valued. The apprenticeship spans four years, with mentoring and ongoing support from Prestige Staffing.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in carpentry and residential construction.
• Willingness to learn and commit to a four-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to work safely and follow workplace procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential house construction from slab through to handover.
• Construct wall frames, roof trusses and flooring systems.
• Assist with installation of doors, windows, skirting, architraves and internal fit-out.
• Measure, mark and cut timber and other building materials.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
• Learn to read and interpret building plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
