Job summary

Format Homes in Flinders Park, SA, AU, is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson for a full-time, on-site role. You will support from concept design through to construction documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Applicants should have an Advanced Diploma or higher in Architectural Drafting and at least four years of drafting experience, with strong NCC knowledge and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
• Minimum of four years' drafting experience, including residential construction documentation and working drawings.
• Proficiency in Revit and experience in AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience producing Australian residential working drawings and construction documentation.
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).
• Experience interpreting planning, certification and construction requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time from Format Homes' Flinders Park office.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of residential construction drawings and working documents.
• Development of construction documentation from concept plans, briefs and client requirements.
• Revision of drawings in response to client, consultant, council and certification requirements.
• Coordination of drafting information with internal construction and pre-construction teams.
• Interpretation and application of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
• Preparation and revision of plans, elevations, sections, details and specifications.
• Assistance with the development of display homes and standard home designs.
• Liaison with consultants, certifiers, surveyors and other stakeholders as required.
• Provision of technical drafting support to internal staff.
