Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne's Residential Aged Care Services (RACS) Deputy Business Manager role supports the financial, operational and administrative management across Berengarra, Auburn House and Prague House. Focus areas include budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and governance within a multi-site aged care portfolio.

Based at SVHM's facilities with responsibility across campuses, the role engages stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, compliance and service excellence

Responsibilities

• Support admissions, occupancy and resident onboarding across Residential Aged Care Services.
• Provide information to prospective residents, families and representatives about accommodation options, services, fees and funding.
• Ensure admission documentation and resident records are completed accurately and within timeframes.
• Assist in budget development, financial monitoring, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Monitor resident accounts, aged debtor balances and financial reports; escalate risks as needed.
• Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain.

Residential Aged Care Services Business Analyst

About the Role

Reporting to the RACS Business Manager, the Deputy Business Manager supports the financial, operational and administrative management of Residential Aged Care Services (RACS), including Berengarra, Auburn House and Prague House. The role assists in the coordination of financial performance, operational delivery, compliance requirements and strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

Working closely with the Business Manager, Operations Manager, Clinical Managers and key stakeholders, the Deputy Business Manager supports the achievement of financial, operational and strategic objectives through reporting, business support, stakeholder engagement, process improvement and project coordination. The role contributes to governance, compliance and accreditation requirements, and acts on behalf of the Business Manager as delegated to promote operational efficiency, service excellence and continuous improvement.

Classification for this position will be HS3

Your Contribution

• Support the management of admissions, occupancy and resident onboarding processes across Residential Aged Care Services.
• Provide accurate information and guidance to prospective residents, families and representatives regarding accommodation options, services, fees and funding arrangements.
• Ensure admission documentation, resident records and administrative processes are completed accurately, compliantly and within required timeframes.
• Assist the Business Manager with budget development, financial monitoring, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Monitor resident accounts, aged debtor balances and financial reports, escalating risks, discrepancies and issues as required.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne's Residential Aged Care Services

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) operates three Residential Aged Care Services (RACS) facilities: Berengarra, Auburn House, and Prague House, collectively providing permanent and respite care for 165 residents. These services encompass mainstream aged care, psychogeriatric care, and specialist programs for individuals with mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injuries and / or a history of homelessness. All facilities are registered NDIS providers. The role is primarily based at St George's Health Service (SGHS) in Kew, with responsibilities across campuses and aged care sites.

Residential Aged Care Services (RACS) sits within the Continuing Care Program at SVHM, which also includes Subacute Services (Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care Services), Bed Based Transition Care, Community Services (HIP, ACAS, GP Liaison) and Healthcare for the Homeless Program.
