Job summary
St Vincent’s Care Maroochydore is seeking Living Support Partners (Personal Care Assistant) to help residents with daily living, daily routines and social engagement in a dedicated, caring team at an aged care service on the Sunshine Coast. You will follow care plans and contribute to a welcoming environment that respects resident rights.
Qualified applicants will have a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or similar, at least 6 months in residential aged care (dementia experience
Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualifications essential
- 6 months + experience in a similar role with residential aged care experience (dementia experience) highly regarded
- NDIS Worker Screening Check is mandatory
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with AutumnCare (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
- Understanding of Aged Care, resident rights/responsibilities with ability to follow the care plan
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and assistance to residents with activities of daily living
- Support residents daily routine, lifestyle and choices and ensure they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged
- Work as part of an effective household member and follow the care plan
- Contribute to quality and sustainable health services within the ethos of St Vincent’s Health Australia
