Job summary

SA Water is seeking a Reservoir Coordinator to lead land management, asset maintenance and visitor access across reservoir reserves in South Australia. You will work with Reservoir Rangers, SA Water teams, volunteers and community partners to protect water quality and deliver safe, enjoyable experiences.

The role emphasizes field-based, hands-on work with a strong focus on safety, planning and collaboration, including weekend/on-call rotations and roster planning.

Qualifications

• Passion for land management and protecting water quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of visitor management and land management principles/practices.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills; interact with public and partners.
• Hands-on approach; work alongside team to deliver field-based activities.
• Ability to coordinate work, drive outcomes and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; manage challenging situations.
• Solid planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Understand and apply legislative, policy and compliance requirements.
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement and positive visitor experiences.
• Hold a current Driver's Licence.
• Qualification in Science, Park Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating land management, asset maintenance and recreational access across reservoir sites.
• Supporting conservation and environmental programs that protect water quality.
• Allocating and coordinating work for Reservoir Rangers.
• Building relationships with visitors, volunteers, community groups and stakeholders.
• Supporting community and volunteer initiatives for recreational and environmental outcomes.
• Coordinating minor infrastructure and reservoir reserve maintenance activities.
• Undertaking inspections, audits and risk assessments for safety and environment.
• Monitoring recreational access and supporting compliance across sites.
• Contributing to planning, scheduling and continuous improvement.
• Promoting safety culture and exceptional visitor experiences.
