Chandler Macleod Group has partnered with a leading university in Melbourne CBD to recruit a Manager, Research Contracts. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, an hourly rate of 94.11 AUD plus super, and an immediate start with potential extension.

You will review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial and research agreements, provide commercially sound advice, and collaborate with internal legal, finance and risk teams to mitigate contract risks in a complex academic

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
Sound knowledge of contract law and commercial risk management.
Experience drafting, reviewing, interpreting or negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, research agreements, funding arrangements and collaborative partnerships.
Assess contractual risks relating to IP, insurance, indemnities and compliance obligations.
Provide practical commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders.
Negotiate contractual terms with external funding agencies, research collaborators and industry partners.
Collaborate with legal, finance and risk teams to ensure agreements comply with organisational policies.
Identify potential contractual risks and recommend commercially viable solutions.
Prepare recommendations to support informed decisions regarding contract execution.
Maintain accurate contractual documentation, records and reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement across contract management processes.
