Job summary

UNSW Canberra invites applications for a Research Associate in cryptography, machine learning and biometrics. Based at UNSW Canberra (ADFA Campus), this fixed-term, full-time role is funded by an ARC Discovery Grant for 2 years.

The successful candidate will contribute to research, publish in international journals and present at conferences, with emphasis on post-quantum cryptography and deep learning for biometrics.

Qualifications

• A PhD in Computer Science or Math or a relevant area/discipline that complements the breadth of expertise of the School.
• Candidates with PhD thesis submissions are welcome; degree to be obtained soon after start.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct innovative and independent research.
• Publications in high-quality journals/conferences (Crypto, Eurocrypt, CCS, NDSS, IEEE TIFS/TPAMI).
• Strong background in post-quantum or applied cryptography; relevant math background.
