Job summary

Delta Laboratories Pty is seeking an R&D / Formulation Chemist to join our Somersby team. You will develop and improve cosmetic, personal care and OTC products from concept to market launch, while optimizing formulations and processes for quality and efficiency.

You will provide technical expertise to manufacturing and cross-functional teams, design validation and stability studies, and ensure GMP/TGA compliance. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in cosmetic, personal care or pharmaceutical formulation and development.
• GMP-regulated manufacturing experience and knowledge of TGA requirements.
• Experience formulating sunscreens or hair care products is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Job Description

What is the role?

We are seeking an R&D / Formulation Chemist to join our team in Somersby. You will be involved in developing and improving formulations across high-end cosmetic and personal care products, as well as over-the-counter therapeutic products providing exposure to a broad and technically engaging range of work.

The role:

• Develop and commercialise new cosmetic, personal care and therapeutic products from concept through to market launch.
• Optimise existing formulations and manufacturing processes to improve product quality, performance and efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
• Design, conduct and evaluate validation, stability and efficacy studies to support product development.
• Prepare pilot batches, support scale-up activities and maintain accurate technical documentation and reports.
• Ensure formulations, processes and documentation comply with GMP, TGA and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
• Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in cosmetic, personal care or pharmaceutical product formulation and development.
• Experience within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment and knowledge of TGA requirements.
• Experience formulating sunscreens or hair care products would be highly regarded.
