Job summary

Potentia Energy in Sydney is seeking a Communications Officer on a 2-month contract to help tell our energy transition story across internal and external channels. You will create content, manage social media, support events and provide reporting, with opportunities to develop skills in media engagement and stakeholder communications within a growing renewable energy joint venture.

The role suits a recent graduate or student in communications or related fields who is detail-oriented,

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editing and proofreading ability.
• Studying or recently graduated in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging content for different audiences.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Managing social media channels and generating content across platforms.
• Drafting and editing content for website and internal channels, including ad hoc website updates.
• Supporting internal communications and managing the company intranet, including keeping the hubs up to date.
• Monitoring media coverage and maintaining media lists and coverage reporting.
• Working with stakeholders across the business and externally.
• Coordinating conferences and planning internal events and learning opportunities.
• Preparing and supporting the team for external events, site visits and community engagement activities.
• Preparing presentations and reporting to support the team.
• Maintaining the communications calendar, asset library and brand templates.
• Processing and tracking invoices.
