Job summary

Civeo Australia is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Asset & Facilities Maintenance team in regional Queensland villages. Based on the Coppabella site, the role is hands-on, field-based, and supports reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across village infrastructure.

You will read drawings, perform carpentry repairs, and work to building codes while maintaining safety standards. FIFO or DIDO options apply, with a 7:7 roster, and a competitive salary plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance, fault finding and repair work
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety and compliance standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Experience using maintenance systems and managing work orders
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance
• Valid working rights within Australia
• Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Carpentry
• Current Class C (Manual) Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive, planned and preventative carpentry maintenance
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs across village buildings and infrastructure
• Undertake general construction, repairs and refurbishment works
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work orders
• Prepare layouts and materials in accordance with building codes
• Ensure all work complies with legislative, safety and environmental standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers for repairs and installations
• Support general maintenance activities across village facilities as required
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and professional condition
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and follow all safe work practices
• Participate in on-call or after-hours requirements while on swing
