Job summary

Civeo Australia are looking for a Carpenter to join our Asset & Facilities Maintenance team in our remote accommodation villages in regional Queensland. This role will be based out of our village in Coppabella.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend your time in the field, travelling across multiple villages on a lifestyle-friendly 7:7 roster. FIFO and DIDO options are available.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Carpentry.
• Current Class C (Manual) Driver’s Licence.
• Demonstrated maintenance, fault finding and repair experience.
• Experience in remote villages, mining or high-volume service environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance.
• Valid working rights within Australia.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive, planned and preventative carpentry maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs across village buildings and infrastructure.
• Undertake general construction, repairs and refurbishment works.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work orders.
• Prepare layouts and materials in accordance with building codes.
• Ensure all work complies with legislative, safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers for repairs and installations.
• Support general maintenance across village facilities as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and professional condition.
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and follow all safe work practices.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours requirements while on swing.
