Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking Electrical Travelling Technicians for a 3:1 roster to support wind farm fleets across Australia. The role requires working rights in Australia and a recognised electrical qualification.

You will provide on-site technical leadership, troubleshoot complex electrical assets, and coordinate with management, engineering, and service teams to maximise turbine availability. Applicants should be prepared to travel >65% of the year, possess HV operating capability, and be familiar

Qualifications

As a minimum, hold a registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade or equivalent).
Five years minimum experience in Onshore Wind or similar heavy industry is highly regarded.
Be nominated as Electrical Supervisor per REC license and as Nominated Qualified Supervisor.
Understanding of basic AC/DC circuits and ability to troubleshoot (24VDC, 166VDC, 120, 230, 400, 575, 690VAC).
Demonstrate experience in High Voltage switching and operations.
Current HV operating certificate or ability to gain one.

Responsibilities

Interpret GEV manuals, specifications, bulletins and complete tasks per work instructions.
Perform maintenance and fault finding of assets.
Act as site HVOA Delegate when required.
Perform HV switching according to site procedures.
Ensure work aligns with SWMS, LOTO and EHS/QA policies.
Drive rapid troubleshooting and maintain turbine availability.
Supervise electrical installation/maintenance when required.
Maintain reports using GEV software tools and databases.
Report errors and incidents using GEV systems.
Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Service teams.
