Job summary

Healthcare Professionals Group is partnering with an established Australian medicinal cannabis provider to offer a flexible telehealth role for Australian-registered doctors. You will conduct remote consultations with patients seeking assessment and ongoing management where medicinal cannabis may be appropriate, with clinical independence and an hourly remuneration model.

The opportunity supports 8–16 consulting hours per week, nationwide reach, and a national patient base.

Qualifications

• Must hold current medical registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in general practice or primary care.
• Sound clinical judgement and patient‑centred approach.
• Comfort delivering consultations via telehealth.
• Interest in medicinal cannabis therapeutics and evidence‑based prescribing.
• Commit approximately 8–16 consulting hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth consultations with new and existing patients.
• Assess histories, clinical needs and treatment suitability.
• Develop treatment and ongoing management plans.
• Prescribe medicinal cannabis where clinically indicated and per regulatory requirements.
• Monitor progress, effectiveness and adverse effects.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with wider clinical and administrative team to ensure continuity of care.
