Job summary

CyberCX, part of Accenture, invites applications for a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst. This fully remote role across Australia supports a 24/7 operations team with a 12-hour rotating roster aligned to AWST.

You will monitor security alerts, investigate incidents and support both fully managed and hybrid SOC arrangements. Onboarding includes 4–6 weeks of daytime training before transitioning to the shift roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SOC, MDR, MSSP or similar cyber security environment.
• Hands-on experience triaging and investigating security alerts and incidents.
• Experience using SIEM technologies (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar).
• Experience using EDR/XDR technologies (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike).
• Understanding of identity-related security events (suspicious sign-ins, MFA activity).
• Experience investigating phishing and email-based security events.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across multiple customer environments.
• Analyse security events using SIEM, EDR/XDR and other monitoring technologies.
• Investigate suspicious activity across endpoints, identity, email and network telemetry.
• Escalate incidents per customer playbooks and severity criteria.
• Maintain clear investigation notes, case updates and incident documentation.
• Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure continuity of investigations.
