Job summary

Accenture Australia is seeking a SIEM Tester to validate SIEM platforms, security monitoring use cases, and threat detection capabilities. The role involves testing rules, log pipelines, alerts, dashboards, and reporting across MS Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, and Elastic Security.

You will work with security engineers to validate detections, perform diverse testing types, and support deployment and release activities.

Qualifications

• Experience testing SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of SOC concepts and incident detection/response.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Security clearance or eligibility required.
• Australian citizenship is required.
• NV1 or NV2 security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SIEM platforms.
• Validate log collection, parsing, normalization, and enrichment from various sources.
• Test security use cases, detection rules, correlation searches, and alerting mechanisms.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing of SIEM solutions.
• Validate dashboards, reports, and threat-hunting queries.
• Simulate cyber attack scenarios and verify detection coverage and alert generation.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Work with security engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Support deployment and release testing activities.
