Job summary

Chunky Duck is seeking an SEO Manager to own and deliver end-to-end SEO strategies for a portfolio of client accounts. You will lead technical audits, keyword research and on-page optimization while guiding content, link-building and reporting efforts.

You will manage client relationships, propose efficient SEO strategies and ensure high-quality on-page content to support campaign performance. This role allows remote work within Australian time zones and offers flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in business admin, marketing, statistics, etc.
• At least three years of experience working in an agency-style setting, in an SEO role
• A thorough command of SEO tools like ahrefs, ScreamingFrog and Google Search Console
• Strong copywriting skills, with comfort writing and optimising on-page content.
• Comfortable working within WordPress/CMS platforms

Responsibilities

• SEO strategy and technical delivery: leadership, development and management of client deliverables and outsourced providers.
• Conducting detailed keyword research, competitive and market analysis and technical audits using various SEO tools and experience.
• Managing off-site and link-building activity to build domain authority.
• Managing on-page technical fixes
• Staying abreast of the latest digital media trends, including changes and updates in Google algorithms, to ensure maximum efficacy of campaigns.
• Content and Copywriting: carrying out content gap analysis and contributing to content strategies
• Writing and optimising on-page copy and briefing internal teams for larger content roll outs
• Account management and reporting: planning, development and implementation of SEO strategies
• Accountable for monthly reports and dashboards, monitoring website metrics and traffic
• Communicating directly with clients or briefing internal teams on priorities
