Job summary

Simplified is recruiting a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to own and evolve a secure, scalable AWS platform from anywhere in Australia. You’ll build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and partner with engineers to improve deployments, automation, and developer experience.

You’ll also shape cloud security, networking, and cost management, collaborating with auditors and security teams to maintain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance while delivering reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• Strong AWS hands-on experience.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in production.
• Experience with Docker, ECS/EKS or Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and networking.
• Clear communicator and autonomous worker.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a secure, scalable AWS cloud environment.
• Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for speed, reliability, and security.
• Partner with engineers to improve deployments, automation, and developer experience.
• Manage cloud networking, security, and performance (VPC, IAM, CDNs, firewalls).
• Monitor and optimise cloud costs and reliability.
• Support and improve security and compliance practices (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Create clear documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
