Job summary

Australian National University is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead finance process analysis and improvements. You will facilitate workshops, map current-state processes, and collaborate with Finance, PeopleSoft Analysts and developers to ensure solutions meet business needs.

You will work across Australia with remote and onsite options, contributing to the ANU Analysis Chapter and shaping end-to-end service enhancements within a large, federated university environment.

Qualifications

• Senior BA with experience in complex transformation, process improvement or service improvement environments.
• Strong end-to-end business process analysis, process mapping and future-state design.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements and translating issues into outcomes.
• Identify inefficiencies, risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with functional specialists, technical teams and developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and business process mapping workshops with Finance and University stakeholders.
• Document current-state processes, business rules, pain points, hand-offs and dependencies.
• Identify duplication, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for simplification or improvement.
• Apply a human-centred approach to understand impacts on users.
• Develop clear process maps, analysis outputs, options and recommendations.
• Contribute to shaping a consistent ANU Analysis Chapter practice.
