Job summary

Abacus Human Capital Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Business Services team. This fully remote role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering accounting, taxation and advisory services with high accuracy and timely communication.

You will work with clients across various sectors, handle BAS/IAS, tax returns, Division 7A workpapers, GST and CGT reconciliations, and provide sound business advice while maintaining a proactive, professional approach.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in Australian public practice accounting
• Experience with Division 7A, GST, CGT, FBT, payroll, property and bookkeeping
• Experience servicing business clients with turnover around $4 million+

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS, IAS, financial statements and asset depreciation schedules
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships
• Complete Division 7A loan reconciliation workpapers
• Manage GST and CGT reconciliations, including properties and listed shares
• Provide business and taxation advice to clients across various industries
