Job summary

Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking a Rights of Private Practice Billing Officer to support private practice billing and revenue services across regional South Australia. The role offers a flexible work arrangement with part-time hours and a focus on accurate financial processes that underpin quality healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• Organised and detail-oriented administration professional with billing/finance/healthcare administration experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for data reconciliation and discrepancy investigations.
• Proactive team player capable of building relationships with clinicians, hospital staff, Medicare and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage specialist billing, Medicare claims and third-party payments with accuracy and compliance.
• Support private practice financial processes through reconciliations, reporting, receipting and record maintenance.
• Liaise with clinicians, hospital admin teams and external agencies to resolve billing issues and ensure timely revenue collection.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining procedures and enhancing revenue services.
