Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College (OLSHT) in Wadeye, NT, operated in partnership with Catholic Education NT, seeks a Deputy Principal (Primary) to lead faith-based and educational outcomes within a bilingual, remote community.

The role reports to the Principal and covers Catholic Identity, Teaching and Learning, Pastoral Care and Wellbeing, and Community and Culture, with responsible resource management and staff development.

Qualifications

• Must hold postgraduate qualifications in Religious Education, Theology, or Educational Leadership.
• Eligible for NT teacher registration and Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
• Experience as a school leader with capacity to drive teaching, learning and school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide faith-based leadership embedding Catholic values across school life.
• Lead teaching and learning across Primary years with high pedagogy and outcomes.
• Support the Principal in school improvement, innovation and cultural engagement.
• Build strong partnerships with families, staff and the wider community.
• Oversee pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives and manage resources.
