Happy Books Group Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to join our remote team on a casual basis. You will maintain accurate financial records and support our accounting services for multiple clients.

The role offers flexibility and a friendly, supportive work environment. Ideal candidates will have strong MYOB experience, a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in accounting support.
• Strong MYOB experience; Xero experience is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Familiarity with Apple iWork.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional communication with clients and team.
• Knowledge of Australian tax and superannuation is desirable.
• Certificate III/IV in Accounting or Business valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions in accounting systems and ledgers.
• Process invoices, receipts and expenses for multiple clients.
• Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare preliminary financial reports and statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Data entry and maintenance of client records.
• Assist with payroll processing, superannuation and PAYG compliance.
• BAS preparation.
• Collaborate with clients to keep books up to date.
• Support broader accounting team with admin tasks.
