Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Marketing Expert for a contract role. This remote position offers compensation of $80–$150 per hour. You will design grading criteria for marketing deliverables, score AI-generated and human samples, and provide detailed explanations for each score.

The role requires independent, asynchronous work to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in marketing or advertising, senior brand marketing experience, and strong writing and messaging

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in marketing or advertising.
• Background as a creative director, account lead, or brand strategist at top-tier global agencies, or senior brand marketing roles.
• Deep fluency in writing and evaluating creative briefs, campaigns, and brand messaging.
• Exceptionally strong written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to have judgment reviewed and calibrated by peers.

Responsibilities

• Design precise, task-specific grading criteria for marketing deliverables.
• Score AI-generated and human work samples against criteria with explanations.
• Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment to ensure reproducible scores.
• Incorporate feedback from senior reviewers and iterate quickly.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
