Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Marketing Expert for a contract role. This remote position offers compensation of $80–$150 per hour. You will design grading criteria for marketing deliverables, score AI-generated and human samples, and provide detailed explanations for each score.

The role requires independent, asynchronous work to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in marketing or advertising, senior brand marketing experience, and strong writing and messaging

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in marketing or advertising.
• Background as a creative director, account lead, or brand strategist at top-tier global agencies, or senior brand marketing roles.
• Deep fluency in writing and evaluating creative briefs, campaigns, and brand messaging.
• Exceptionally strong written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to have judgment reviewed and calibrated by peers.

• Design precise, task‑specific grading criteria for real‑world marketing deliverables such as creative briefs, campaign concepts, and brand positioning frameworks.
• Score AI‑generated and human work samples against established criteria, providing detailed written justifications for every score.
• Apply consistent, evidence‑based judgment to ensure scores are reproducible and defensible.
• Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate quickly on your work.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must‑Have

• 5+ years of professional experience in marketing or advertising.
• Background as a creative director, account lead, or brand strategist at top‑tier global creative agencies, or in senior brand marketing roles at leading consumer companies.
• Deep fluency in writing and evaluating creative briefs, campaign development across channels, and brand positioning and messaging.
• Exceptionally strong written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable having your judgment reviewed and calibrated against peers.

Preferred

• Prior experience with AI training, evaluation, or human‑data projects.
